The starting point

Where the budget actually goes

Almost every account audit turns up the same three patterns. Together they routinely cost 30 to 50 per cent of the budget.

Conversion tracking counts clicks, not customers

Without clean conversion data, Google optimises for traffic. You pay for visitors who never become customers — and the report still looks good.

Search terms left unwatched

Broad keywords with no maintained search-term list mean ads on entirely unrelated queries. The tradesperson pays for "electrician apprenticeship", the shop for "second hand".

Every click lands on the homepage

Someone searching for one specific service wants the page about it — not a homepage covering seven topics. Every extra click costs conversions.

How we work

How we run accounts

Measure first, then structure, then scale. Start in any other order and you scale a mistake.

01

Check the tracking before anything runs

Calls, forms, purchases — every conversion has to be correct and plausible. Everything else is built on it. Get the foundation wrong and every optimisation after it is guesswork.

02

Structure by search intent, not by product catalogue

Campaigns follow what people search for, not how your business is organised internally. That is what decides your Quality Score and your cost per click.

03

Treat the landing page and the ad as one job

We build the page the ad lands on. That is exactly where budget otherwise leaks away — the campaign is clean, the page is slow, and nobody owns it.

04

Adjust weekly, report monthly

Search terms, bids, ad copy. The report shows enquiries and revenue — not impressions. If a channel is not delivering, we say so.

The basics

What Google Ads is — and what each campaign type is for

Google Ads is an auction, not a price list. You are not paying to be shown; you pay when someone clicks — and what that click costs depends on your bid and on how relevant Google judges your ad and your landing page to be. That is why a well-built account can hold the same position more cheaply than a badly built one bidding higher. The campaign types differ mainly in one thing: whether they capture demand that already exists, or create it.

Search campaigns

Text ads above the search results, triggered by what someone is typing right now. The most direct type: the demand is already there, you are only speaking up. For service businesses, almost always the first channel.

Performance Max

One campaign covering every Google surface at once — Search, Maps, YouTube, Gmail, Display — and distributing the budget automatically. Strong once conversion tracking is clean, and risky while it is not: the automation optimises for exactly the signal you feed it.

Shopping ads

Product image, price and shop name directly in the results, driven by your product feed rather than by ad copy. The most important type for online shops — and feed quality matters more than budget.

Display & retargeting

Image ads across millions of websites. Rarely profitable as cold outreach, often profitable as a reminder to people who have already visited. Someone who abandoned a basket is a different audience from a stranger.

Demand Gen

Visual ads in YouTube, Discover and Gmail. Nobody here is searching for you — this type creates demand rather than capturing it. Worth running once search demand in your market is already exhausted.

Video

Ads before and inside YouTube videos, charged per view rather than per impression. Good for awareness and for anything that needs explaining, poor as the only channel for short-term enquiries.

Who runs your account

You get one named person, not a ticket queue

The person who sets your account up is the person who runs it afterwards. They know your numbers, your margin and which enquiries are actually worth having — and they go through them with you once a month, in plain English rather than in metrics.

  • One named point of contact
  • A monthly call where we go through the numbers together
  • Answers to your questions within 24 hours
  • Your Google Ads account is yours, during and after

What the work costs

Two separate items: the ad budget goes straight to Google, the fee comes to us. We do not publish a list price, because it would be wrong for half the enquiries this page gets — a local trade business running one campaign is not the same job as a shop with 4,000 products. What moves the number is below. The figure for your situation comes after the review, before you decide anything.

One-off setup

Tracking, account structure, campaigns, ad copy. How much work it is depends on what is already there: a well-kept account needs corrections, one that grew on its own needs rebuilding. One-off, because it has to be done properly once — and you keep it if we part ways.

Ongoing management

Search terms, bids, ads, landing pages, a monthly report. Scope follows account size, channel count and industry — never a percentage of your ad budget. A fee that grows with your spend rewards us for you spending more.

Ad budget

Goes straight to Google, not to us. For local service businesses we usually start at €500 to €1,000 a month — enough to gather usable data within four to six weeks. For shops it depends on margin and basket size.

Cancel monthly. No minimum term. Nothing built that you cannot take with you.

Frequently asked questions

What does management cost per month?
Two separate items: the ad budget goes straight to Google, and our fee follows account size and channel count — not a percentage of your budget. On top of that there is a one-off setup for tracking and account structure. The free review gives you a specific figure for your situation before you decide anything.
Do I own my Google Ads account?
Yes, always. The account is in your name and we are given access to it. If we part ways you revoke that access and everything stays where it is: history, campaigns, conversion data. We do not work with agency-owned accounts where your data would belong to us — it is arguably the most valuable thing you take away from the work.
What budget do I need for Google Ads?
For local service businesses we usually start at €500 to €1,000 a month — enough to gather usable data within four to six weeks. For online shops it depends on margin and basket size: what matters is the ROAS you need just to break even. We work that out with you in the review rather than quoting a flat figure.
How quickly will I see results?
First clicks the same day, reliable conclusions after four to six weeks. Before that there are too few conversions to tell a pattern from noise — anyone selling you a trend after one week is reading noise. The early weeks are about ruling things out: wrong search terms gone, weak ads gone.
Am I tied into a long contract?
No. Cancel monthly, no minimum term. What we build — tracking, account structure, ad copy, landing pages — stays with you even if you leave. We would rather keep clients with results than with contracts.
Who runs my account?
One named person from our team, who you know and can reach directly. No rotation, no intern, no outsourcing to an agency behind the agency. The person who works on your account is the person you speak to — which is why we do not take on an unlimited number of accounts.
What happens in the first 30 days?
Week 1: account audit and tracking — we check every conversion for plausibility and fix whatever is counting wrongly. Week 2: a new account structure based on search intent, ad copy, landing pages. Week 3: live, with daily search-term review. Week 4: a first read on real numbers and an honest view of what is realistic.
Do you work with small budgets?
Below roughly €500 a month in ad spend we advise against it in most industries — not because it is not worth our while, but because there are too few clicks to learn anything from. Your money goes further on a properly maintained Google Business Profile and a better website. We would rather tell you that in the first conversation than in month four.
